Expiration Dates Mean Very Little

Turns out expiration dates on foods and drinks aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. The FDA doesn’t mandate them, although some states do. And there’s little consistency in the dates and the way their used. You’re better off using your nose and eyes to determine if foods and liquids are spoiled.

10 Resume Red Flags

10-resume-red-flags

If you’re looking for a job, be sure you don’t make these resume mistakes. When I see these things on a resume, I’m much less likely to schedule an interview, especially spelling and grammatical errors. The job I’m hiring for is all about attention to details; spelling and grammatical mistakes don’t give me confidence that you’re paying attention to detail or that you have good formal writing skills.

49-of-50-us-states-have-snow-on-the-ground

After last Friday’s deep south snowstorm, for a brief period, 49 of 50 US states had snow on the ground. Only Hawaii, which occasionally does see snow on mountain tops, had no snow on the ground. Read the story below for all the details. No one knows if this has ever happened before, though it seems to me that it probably has at some point, but maybe it was never recorded for posterity.
